Parents who are desirous of securing a place for their child at the annual National Sports Council’s (NSC) Summer Sports camp, which will run from July 9 to August 17, can now do so.

Camp forms are available for download from the NSC’s website. Instant registration will take place weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon, until July 7. Forms will be available at the Council for persons who are unable to download it.

Two recent passport-sized photos and the registration fee should also accompany the completed application form.

Twenty-five disciplines will be offered during the camp, including water polo, hockey, swimming, badminton, basketball, cricket, football and cycling.

Persons should also note that in the discipline of swimming, persons will only be allowed to register a maximum of two campers and will not be allowed to register any camper in that particular discipline who has participated in the sport for two years or more.

Several tours are being planned for the campers, including a visit to the Barbados Wax Museum, the Bajan Bus Tour and Adventure Land. Children will also benefit from a number of informative workshops which will be put on during the camp.

For more information about the camp, persons may call the National Sports Council at 430-7700.
