The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management, will host a Trainer-of-Trainees workshop on Postharvest Loss Reduction with emphasis on Cassavas and Tomatoes.

The one-week workshop will be held from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, at the Boabab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

One of the major objectives of the workshop will be to identify ways to reduce postharvest losses utilising innovative approaches and postharvest technologies.

Dr. Joseph Mpagalile (FAO-Rome) and two FAO consultants, Dr. Majeed Mohammed of UWI, St. Augustine and Kelvin Craig of Guyana, will deliver presentations.??Persons interested in participating in the workshop are asked to email Tony Rawlins at trawlins@gmail.com, or email Alvin Romeo at stantonromeo@hotmail.com, as soon as possible.
