The different changes children will undergo as they transition into teenagers will be highlighted when this year’s Project S.O.F.T. (Safeguarding Our Future Today) gets under way from Sunday, August 25, to Saturday, August 31.
The 17th annual one-week residential camp, hosted by the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA), caters to 40 children who sat this year’s Common Entrance Examination, and will be held at Naniki Barbados, in Suriname, St. Joseph.
Students attending this year’s camp will embrace the theme: Transitioning the Family, as officials prepare them and members of the family for the journey into secondary school, by discussing the multiple life challenges that will confront them.
Registration for the camp is now open and runs until Friday, August 9, or until all the spaces are booked. There is a registration fee.
