Registration is currently on for the Barbados Community College’s (BCC) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, which starts on Monday, May 8.

Applicants must have a minimum of four CSEC General Proficiency passes including English Language, Mathematics and either Biology or Human and Social Biology.

Application forms and further information on the EMT course may be obtained from the Office of the Student Affairs or downloaded from the College’s website at www.bcc.edu.bb.

Registration closes on Friday, April 21, and prospective students will be expected to undergo an interview.

The course is a prerequisite to the paramedic programme. Emergency medical technicians provide basic and limited advanced medical care and transportation for critical and emergency patients who become suddenly ill or are injured.
