Parents and guardians who wish to register their children for the National Summer Camp Programme may now collect registration forms from a number of locations across the island.

Forms are available from Courts branches in Bridgetown, Speightstown and Sheraton Centre; Cave Shepherd Broad Street; the Barbados Youth Service Headquarters, Warrens Industrial Park; and the Division of Family and Youth, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road. Additionally, forms may be sourced at primary schools across the island.

According to an official in the Ministry of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, the initial deadline for registration forms to be completed and returned to the Division of Family and Youth is Tuesday, May 31. The spokesperson pointed out, however, that "very late" submissions would be accepted up to Friday, June 3.

Summer camps will commence on Monday, July 4, at a number of schools, community centres and sporting facilities. The official said the camps "will be exciting and educational" and the children would be exposed to music, dance, drama, art and craft. (SA/BGIS)??
