Registration continues for the 5K walk which is being hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture’s Sports Club, on Saturday, October 16.
The walk, which begins at 6:00 a.m., will start and finish at the Bay Street Esplanade, Bay Street, St. Michael.
Interested persons may register at the Ministry of Agriculture, Graeme Hall, Christ Church, or at the Animal Nutrition Unit, Pine, St. Michael, no later than Friday, October 15. Registration will not be allowed on the morning of the event.
In response to the theme for this year’s World Food Day, "United Against Hunger", participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Salvation Army. Persons are also invited to sign the petition for the "1 billion hungry" drive which aims to end hunger worldwide.
