The Electoral and Boundaries Commission has announced that the St. John Primary School has been established as the Revising/Registration Centre in the constituency of St. John for the upcoming by-election on January 20, 2011.

This is in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 35 of the Representation of the People (Registration of Electors) Regulations 1990.

The centre, which would allow voters to view the preliminary list, will be open to the public from tomorrow, Friday, December 31, to Saturday, January 8, 2011 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., with the exception of Saturday, January, 1 and Sunday, January 2, 2011.

The Returning Officer for the constituency of St. John, in accordance with Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act Cap. 12 will be Richard O’Neale Harris.

The Commission has also announced that nomination papers for the by-election may be delivered by the candidate, his proposer or the seconder to the Returning Officer at the Lodge School between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on January 5, 2011.??
