The Registration Department has just turned 123 and is "aiming for world-class customer service to all".

To commemorate this milestone, reached last August 2, the department is hosting close to a dozen events during this month and September.

Celebrations open with a 9 a.m. church service at the Whitepark Wesleyan Holiness Church this Sunday. New Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite will deliver remarks; Registrar of the Supreme Court Marva Clarke will bring greetings in her welcome, while Deputy Registrar Laurie-Ann Smith Bovell will read the Old Testament Lesson.

A high point is a panel discussion on the topic "Do men and women have equal rights under the Maintenance Act ?", slated for the Atrium Room, Supreme Court?? Complex, Whitepark Road, St. Michael at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11.

The Moderator is Registrar Ms. Clarke and her panel comprises Magistrate Barbara Cooke-Alleyne, Senior Probation Officer Stella Scantlebury, Head of MESA Ralph Boyce and Attorney-at-Law Dawn Shield-Searles. tadams@barbados.gov.bb
