The Registration Department will reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. However, staff of the department will report for duty from tomorrow, Monday, May 4, to make the necessary preparations for the public.

Members of the public are asked to note that in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there are new protocols for entering the Supreme Court Complex on White Park Road, St. Michael, and all magistrates’ courts.

Those protocols are:

  • All persons entering the Supreme Court Complex and magistrates’ courts are required to wear face masks at all times.
  • They must use hand sanitizer on entering the building.
  • Only persons conducting business will be allowed to enter the offices of the Registration Department.
  • Social distancing protocols must be adhered to.

In addition, the Registration Department will also be using a similar alphabetical system as developed by Government to process persons conducting business.

The schedule will vary according to the sections of the department and persons are therefore asked to carefully note the days in which services are offered for the period Tuesday, May 5, to Monday, May 11. The schedule may obtained by clicking here.

Registrar of the Supreme Court, Barbara Cooke-Alleyne noted that while the department will try its best to minimize wait times, persons are advised that there may be some delays and their patience and understanding is appreciated.
