Members of the public are now invited to register for the Community Development Department’s Community Technology Programme 2016.

The classes which consist of training in Microsoft Office 2010 will run for a period of 10 weeks beginning Monday, September 19, and are free of cost to the public.

The Level 1 courses being offered for beginners are: Introduction to Computers, Introduction to E-mail, Introduction to Internet, Introduction to XP and Introduction to Microsoft Work 2010.

The Level 2 courses for advanced persons are: Word and PowerPoint 2010, Excel and Publisher 2010, Access 2010 and Outlook and Internet.

These courses will be offered at resource centres across the island namely Bush Hall, Bonnetts, Deacons, Grazettes, Haggatt Hall and Parkinson located in St. Michael; St. Christopher and Briar Hall located in Christ Church; Rices and St. Marks in St. Philip; Speighstown and Black Bess in St. Peter; Drax Hall, Valley and Greens in St. George; Weston in St. James; and St. Elizabeth in St. Joseph.

Persons interested in registering for any of the courses may collect registration forms from the above mentioned resource centres, or at the Community Development Department, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.

The deadline for registration is Thursday, September 15.
