The remaining town hall meetings of the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for Barbados have been cancelled.
There will therefore be no meetings on Wednesday, January 28, at Princess Margaret Secondary; Wednesday, February 4, Deighton Griffith Secondary; Friday, February 6, at Grantley Adams Memorial; Thursday, February 12, at the Barbados Workers??? Union Headquarters, or Wednesday, February 18, at the Queen???s Park Steel Shed.
Town hall meetings had been scheduled to gather feedback on the proposed NQF that is being financed in part through a grant from the European Union. The NQF is Pillar 2 of the Barbados Human Resource Development Strategy 2011-2016, and is considered a major mechanism that will transform the delivery of education and training in Barbados.
The BAC regrets any inconvenience that these cancellations may cause the general public.
