Remembrance Day this year, will again be observed with an inter-denominational service at the War Memorial in National Heroes Square, commencing at 8:00 a.m.

 

Members of the uniformed groups including the Barbados Defence Force and the Cadet Corps will be on parade.

At the conclusion of the two minutes of silence and the sounding of the Last Post, wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph by His Excellency, Governor General, Sir Clifford Husbands, Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Owen Arthur followed by other specially invited guests and members of the Diplomatic Corps.

Private individuals who wish to lay a wreath may do so at the conclusion of the service. Such individuals should, however, notify the Cabinet Office, Government Headquarters, Bay Street, so that appropriate seating arrangements can be made.

 

Relatives of those who gave their lives during the two World Wars, members of the general public, and public officers who wish to attend the service may collect tickets from the Cabinet Office, Government Headquarters, Bay Street.
