Remembrance Day this year will again be observed with a short inter-denominational service and the traditional parade at the War Memorial in National Heroes Square, Bridgetown on Sunday, November 9, 2008, commencing at 8:00 a.m.

At the conclusion of the Two Minutes Silence and the sounding of the Last Post, wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph by Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands and Prime Minister David Thompson, followed by specially-invited guests, including members of the Diplomatic Corp.

According to Cabinet Office, any private individuals wishing to lay
wreaths may do so at the conclusion of the service. They should, however, notify the Cabinet Office, Government Headquarters, Bay Street, St. Michael in order that appropriate seating arrangements may be made.

Relatives of fallen Barbadian servicemen in the two World Wars, members of the general public and any Public Officer wishing to attend the service may collect tickets from the Cabinet Office. (TA)
