Barbadians will join the rest of the world in remembering servicemen and women who lost their lives in the World Wars, by observing Remembrance Day on Sunday, November 14.

At the conclusion of two minutes silence and the sounding of the Last Post, Governor General, Sir Clifford Husbands, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and members of the diplomatic corps will lay wreaths at the war memorial in National Heroes Square, the City.

The short interdenominational service will get under way at 8:00 a.m. and will feature a parade by members of the Barbados Defence Force, the Cadet Corps and other uniformed groups, as well as war veterans.

Persons desirous of laying wreaths and relatives of those who gave their lives during the World Wars and wishing to be seated, should however, notify the Cabinet Office, Government Headquarters, Bay Street, St. Michael.
