As the Barbados Licensing Authority continues to clear the backlog of the distribution of plastic licence cards, the public is reminded that the only persons permitted to visit the Barbados Licensing Authority to take their photograph are those first-time driver’s licence holders and those who have paid for a transfer from their overseas licence to a Barbados licence between July 2020 and October 2021.

Persons are asked to visit the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources’ Barbados Facebook and Instagram pages for the schedule of dates.

First-time licence holders are reminded to walk with their pass certificate, their Barbados Identification Card or Barbados passport and payment receipt.

Persons transferring from an overseas to a Barbados licence will need to bring in their overseas driver’s licence, their Barbados Identification Card or Barbados passport and their payment receipt.

First-time licence holders and transfers are also advised that if their licence will expire during the months of October to December 2021, they will not be processed until the renewal fees have been paid. Persons who have missed their scheduled dates will have to await further notification of the new dates.

The Barbados Licensing Authority and the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources thank members of the public for their patience.
