Follow this step-by-step demonstration on how to fill the Barbados Optional Savings Scheme (BOSS). (BGIS)

Public workers whose net monthly pay is $3,000 and above are reminded that they must complete and submit the Public Sector Worker Option Form for the Barbados Optional Savings Scheme (BOSS) by tomorrow, Friday, June 26.

The Ministry of the Public Service said a number of persons had already emailed the forms to their Accounts Section and encouraged those who had not, to immediately complete and submit theirs.

Public officers are further reminded that they may call 536-2677, for assistance in completing the form. The option form is currently on government websites and has also been sent to the email accounts of eligible public officers.

The BOSS programme is aimed at providing public sector workers with savings and investment opportunities.

They will take a portion of their salary in bonds and receive a five per cent interest rate per annum, to be paid semi-annually, with no withholding tax on the money earned.

Details on the process of completing and filling out the form may be found here.
