The Animal Control Centre has reminded the public that dog licences must be renewed.

Under the Dog Licensing and Control Act 1981, a person failing, without reasonable excuse, to comply with this regulation will be guilty of an offence. Such persons are liable on summary conviction, to a fine of $100 or imprisonment for one month, or both.

Persons not in agreement with the records are asked to supply accurate information to the Licensing Centres. Persons with disabilities and shut-ins are asked to contact the Animal Control Centre to make the necessary arrangements to have their dogs licensed or their licences renewed. The Licensing Centres are located at the Six Roads Health Centre, St. Philip, Maurice Byer Polyclinic, Station Hill, St. Peter, and the Animal Control Centre, Black Rock, St. Michael.
