The Ministry of Health and Wellness has advised that alternate weekly visits to the Geriatric Hospital, Beckles Road, St. Michael, will resume from Sunday, August 7.

The hospital had restricted visits to Units Two and Four from July 17, following a small outbreak of COVID-19.  Given that no new cases were recorded in the client population since July 20, visits will recommence as follows:

The week starting August 7, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only –
Units Two and Three comprising Wards 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6B, 7B, 8B, 9B and 10B.

 • The week starting August 14, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only –    
Units One and Four comprising Wards 2B,3B, 4B, 5B, 8A, 9A and 10A.

Visitors should note that weekly visits of 15 minutes duration will be facilitated between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00 p.m.

Persons visiting the hospital are expected to follow all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, which will remain in effect for the protection and well-being of clients and staff.
