There are firm plans afoot to revive the National Council of Parent Teachers Association (NCPTA) which has been inactive for some time.

News of this has come from the Deputy Chief Education Officer, Laurie King, who has disclosed that Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones, was keen to meet with the Presidents and Secretaries of Parent Teachers Associations from various primary and secondary schools across the island.

The meeting is scheduled for this coming Saturday, April 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Michael School, Martindale’s Road, St. Michael and according to Mr. King, the Minister and several PTA Presidents and Secretaries will discuss the re-launch of the NCPTA and its role and contribution to the development of the local education system.
