The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has advised that due to mains replacement in its capital works programme, the road from St. Swithun???s Church to Hope Bridge Road in St. Lucy, will be closed from Saturday, April 11, to Saturday, April 18, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This closure will affect the bus service to Connell Town. Commuters are asked to note that when buses leaving Bridgetown reach St. Swithun???s Church, they will turn right, make the first left on to Mount Poyer, and travel through Harrises and Spring Hall.
The bus will proceed to River Bay, turn and travel through Northumberland on to Connell Town, and end at Hope Bridge Road. Buses to Bridgetown would cover this route in the reverse.??
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and follow the directions of traffic wardens, and or traffic signs which will be in place to direct motorists around the closure. The BWA regrets any inconvenience caused.
