The public is being advised that as a result of the proposed Barbados National Terminal Company Limited (BNTCL) Pipeline Maintenance Project, road closures and traffic diversions will take place in some areas in Christ Church.

Beginning Thursday, July 25, until Thursday, August 8, in Charnocks, the road will be reduced to one lane traffic only.  Flag persons will be present to give directions.

From August 16 to 31, road closures will take place from the junction of Hill View and Pegwell Boggs, with local access only, where all traffic will be diverted West.  Traffic going West will be diverted north along Hill View Road to Thornbury Hill or South to Chancery Lane.

On Friday, August 23, until Monday, September 9, there will be road closures from the junction of Church Hill and Church Road and the Junction of Highway T and Church Hill.

Local access will only be from Church Road and/or East from Thornbury Hill.  Traffic going east along Church Road will be diverted north to Highway T or south to Oistins.

All work will be conducted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Project Engineer of WeldFab, Jerry Medford said the safety of the project is of paramount importance and all will be done to minimize disruption to residents in the areas where work will be conducted.

Mr. Medford cautioned persons against discarding cigarettes in areas where the pipeline maintenance project will take place.
