Exploiting the Moment: The Emergence of New Political Organisations and a New Political Elite will be examined when Historian and CARICOM Ambassador, Robert "Bobby" Morris, gives a public lecture next Tuesday, April 10.

It will be held at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed, Bridgetown, starting at 7:00 p.m. The following week, Tuesday, April 17, there will be a panel discussion with Attorney-at-Law, David Commissiong; and Universities Lecturers, Dr. Tennyson Joseph and Margaret Gill; at the same location and time.

These discussions are part of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society’s 2012 Lecture Series held under the theme This the time to Knock on the Door of Your Government, a statement expressed by National Hero, the Right Excellent Clement Payne, during the 1937 labour rebellion.

The series is being sponsored by the National Cultural Foundation and the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited, with support from the University of the West Indies’ Department of History and Philosophy.??
