The nomination period for the Royal Fidelity National Distinguished Teachers??? Awards, which is held each year in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, will begin a little later this year.
In previous years, the nomination period ran from April to June. This year, however, it will be open from September until November, in an effort to give the country???s teaching professionals maximum recognition.
All members of the public are eligible to submit candidates for the awards, which is given to ten exceptional teaching professionals.
The Royal Fidelity National Distinguished Teachers??? Awards is a community initiative developed to honour outstanding teachers whose talent, dedication and creativity have had a lasting impact on our children and society.
The Royal Fidelity Merchant Bank and Trust is the awards??? sponsor and founder.??Awardees are usually selected from both public and private schools across Barbados and at all levels of the education system.
