A number of key items will be discussed when the Council of Ministers of the Regional Security System (RSS) convene a one-day meeting at Hilton Barbados next Friday, March 7.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart is expected to deliver remarks during the official opening ceremony and chair the session, while the Ambassadors of the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Canada will also speak during the ceremony.

During the meeting, the participants are expected to examine a proposal for a maritime training centre in Antigua and discuss closer cooperation between the RSS and OECS Authority on security matters.

The Council comprises Ministers with responsibility for Defence and Security in the RSS Member States, some of whom are Prime Ministers.
