The 2016 Rural Festival, originally planned for June 4 and 5, has been postponed until Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.

The festival, which comes off at the Dash Valley Pavilion, Dash Valley, St. George, is free to the public and will feature a variety of activities, including a children’s zone, a treasure hunt, a Chinese auction and a cook-off competition.

There will also be steel pan on the Greens, a karaoke competition, outdoor movies and a variety of items for sale. The Get Women Moving Task Force will lead exercise sessions and Danse Nationale Afrique will perform.

It is a family affair and everyone is asked to bring a donation for the HIV/AIDS Food Bank. Saturday’s activities begin at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday’s at 3:00 p.m. Interested persons are asked to call 249-7268 for further information.
