The 2016 Rural Festival comes off on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5, at the Glebe Pasture, Glebe, St. George.

The festival is free to the public and will feature a variety of activities, including a children’s zone, a treasure hunt, a Chinese auction and a cooking competition.

There will also be steel pan on the Greens, a karaoke competition, outdoor movies and vendors displaying their wares for sale.

The Get Women Moving Task Force will lead an exercise ‘party rama’ on Saturday, June 4, at 4:00 p.m. Danse Nationale Afrique will perform and there will be a Soca Frenzy at 8:00 p.m.

It is a family affair and everyone is asked to bring a donation for the HIV/AIDS Food Bank. Saturday’s activities begin at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday’s at 4:00 p.m. Interested persons are asked to call 249-7268 for further information.
