The Labour Department, in collaboration with the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, will observe Occupational Safety and Health Week from Sunday, July 5, to Thursday, July 9, 2009.

During the week, there will be a series of free seminars at the Accra Beach Hotel, Rockley, Christ Church, under the theme, "Decent Work: A Priority for All". They commence at 9:00 a.m. each day.

A number of pertinent topics will be on the agenda, including ???Managing Safety and Health during a Financial Recession’; ???Indoor Air Quality’; ???Ergonomics’; and ???The Building Blocks for a Successful Safety Organisation’.

On Thursday, July 9, there will be a number of tours to selected workplaces, as ministry officials examine the process of developing a decent work environment for all.
