Persons desirous of owning their own businesses got the necessary tips to help them realise their dreams during the Small Business Association’s (SBA), open day sessions yesterday.

From 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m, entrepreneurs and other members of the public, filed into the SBA offices located in the Pelican Industrial Estate, Princess Alice Highway, St Michael; Six Roads, St Philip, and Queen Street, Speightstown, St Peter to learn more about its operations.

SBA staffers were on hand to give advice on owning one’s business. “We gave an overview of the SBA operations and the services offered.  We also had interactive sessions with the public using a bulletin board to highlight the services that we offer,” said Marketing Officer, Sherwin Cumberbatch.

The SBA’s strategic partners were also on hand to distribute literature and hand out promotional memorabilia about their respective products.

Those who walked through the SBA head office at the Pelican Industrial Estate, Mr. Cumberbatch said, got the chance to view displays from businesses such as Luna Design, Ozone Therapy, Earth Mother Botanicals, Coral Spring Vinters Limited and Bird’s Nest Foods line of pepper sauce and other condiments.

There was a steady stream of traffic at all branches as both members and prospective members of the organisation, received free blood pressure and diabetes checks.
