The free small business management and vocational training courses offered by the Rural Development Commission (RDC) and the Small Business Association (SBA) will continue next month at a number of locations.

Classes are structured to develop and aid sustainability of small, medium and micro businesses through the provision of training in various aspects of small business management and vocational studies.

Courses being offered during this year include: Managing your small business; records management; construction and project management; basic accounting; customer service techniques; preparing business plans and project proposals; business startup; computer awareness; marketing; marketing management; introduction to the Internet; business law for small businesses; catering; barbering; dressmaking; and handicraft and care for the elderly.

Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, February 5, and continue for six weeks for basic courses and eight weeks for intermediate courses unless otherwise stated.

Training is also open to all entrepreneurs, small business operators and persons considering the option of self employment. These six week courses are specifically tailored to allow participants the opportunity to explore their interest within the short term.
