The Small Business Association (SBA) will honour and recognise the efforts of its members, in their efforts to build up the entrepreneurial class in the island, during a week of activities.

The events will start this Sunday, September 21, at 6:00 p.m., with a thanksgiving concert at the Barbados Museum, the Garrison, St. Michael, which will feature the best in local gospel talent.

As part of the celebrations, those persons who joined the SBA recently will be formerly inducted into the organisation.

On Tuesday, September 23, retired Executive Director of Industrial Transportation Business with 3M-Asia Pacific, Dr. Carlisle Boyce, will deliver the inaugural Leo Leacock Memorial Lecture under the theme: The Tenets On Being A Successful Entrepreneur. This will take place at the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination starting at 7:00 p.m.

The following day, Wednesday, September 24, entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to learn more about the operations of the SBA, during open day sessions at its three offices located in the Pelican Industrial Estate, Princess Alice Highway, St. Michael; Six Roads, St. Philip; and Queen’s Street, Speightstown, St. Peter, from 10:00 a.m.

On Thursday, September 25, members will be brought up to date on the organisation’s financial status with the annual general meeting at the Barbados Public Workers Co-operative Credit Union Limited, Belmont Road, St Michael, starting at 6:00 p.m.

As the week of celebrations draws to a close, members will test their cricketing skills on the field during a 20/20 night cricket match at the 3W’s Oval, Cave Hill Campus, on Friday, September 26, at 7:00 p.m.

A dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday, September 27, at Hilton Barbados will bring the curtain down on the week of activities. This event gets under way from 7:00 p.m.
