Teachers Professional Day will be observed this Friday, October 14, and all schools will be closed.
However, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has encouraged management of schools to organise activities for the development of their institutions. At its headquarters at the Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, there will be an ???After Work Lime’ and karaoke session, where all staff are invited to participate.
The day is part of the activities to mark Education Month, which is being celebrated this year under the theme Overcoming Educational Challenges in the 21st Century.
Meanwhile, parents and guardians are also reminded that there will be a mid-term break from Monday, October 17 to Friday, October 21.
School re-opens on Monday, October 24.
