The Productivity Council???s New Entrants to the Workplace Summer Programme for recent school leavers and new employees will begin next Monday, July 8, and end on Thursday, August 22.

This programme is designed to give persons between the ages of 16 and 30 an opportunity to learn about productivity issues in an effort to hone their professional skills.

Students at secondary schools and tertiary institutions are encouraged to register for the workshops which will also provide them with critical insight as they enter the world of work. Managers are being encouraged to see this programme as an addition to their internal orientation systems for their internship/summer work programmes or for new employees.

Those persons interested in participating in the sessions, which will be held at The Productivity Council, Third Floor, Baobab Towers, Warrens, St. Michael, should call 626-9416.

Participants will be exposed to productivity concepts and will learn about work ethics, communication, teamwork, Cover-Letter Writing and curriculum vitae development, among others. They will also benefit from role-playing and group exercises, in an effort to reinforce what is taught.
