Six primary schools will soon be able to enhance their music departments, thanks to a generous donation to be made tomorrow, Friday, May 29, by the Multi-National Women???s Group Goes Green and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.

Under the auspices of Be The Change Barbados, the two entities will present a cheque worth $100,000 to the primary schools, for the purchase of musical instruments, at Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School, Government Hill, St. Michael, at 9:00 a.m.

Co-chair of the Multi-National Women???s Group, Sharon Lady Carmichael, and Principal of Charles F. Broome, Louis Griffith, will deliver brief remarks.

Following this, the cheque will be handed over to Director/conductor of the Barbados Youth Orchestra, Joy Knight-Lynch, who is the coordinator for music in primary schools. In addition to Charles F. Broome, the other schools set to benefit are Lawrence T. Gay; Hilda Skeene; St. George Primary; Wesley Hall and West Terrace.
