The Environmental Health Department of the St. Philip Polyclinic will stage the finals of its annual primary schools’ quiz competition, tomorrow, Friday, November 20.

It comes off at the Valley Resource Centre, St. George at 10:00 a.m.

The finalists are: St.Jude’s Primary – St.George, Bayley’s Primary – St. Philip and Society Primary – St.John. They will discuss the topic: Dengue and Leptospirosis.

There will be a feature address by Minister of Health, Donville Inniss and he will also present a number of prizes. Chief Environmental Health Officer, Tyrone Applewhaite, will also deliver remarks at the ceremony.

The quiz was designed to test children’s knowledge of health science, in terms of the prevention and control of the incidence of vectors that cause dengue and leptospirosis, as reflected in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education.

Sixteen primary schools competed in the tournament, which started on September 14, this year.
