The National Conservation Commission (NCC) will host an Environmental Tour at its Codrington, St. Michael headquarters for primary and secondary school students and teachers on Friday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Students and their teachers will get the opportunity to view and participate in a number of projects being conducted by the NCC, such as Renewable Energy, Water Harvesting, Apiary, Fish Pond and Tissue Culture Lab projects, and a plant propagation workshop. They will also receive a 20 per cent discount on selected plants.

Members of the public will have their turn on Saturday, September 27, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. They will benefit from a donation of a limited supply of shade trees, and a 20 per cent discount on selected plants.

Interested persons are asked to contact NCC???s Public Relations/Marketing Department at 425-1200 to confirm their interest and participation by Friday, September 19.

Meanwhile, members of service clubs; community groups, including church and school groups; corporate Barbados or individuals desirous of participating in activities to celebrate Arbor Day 2014 are asked to contact the Public Relations/Marketing Department at 425-1200 Extension 1202.
