Another major event similar to the 2011 Loud concert featuring Barbadian international recording star Rihanna at Kensington Oval is being planned for Barbados in the fall.
Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Richard Sealy, said during a media briefing at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre recently that the promoters of Loud had indicated their interest in staging the concert in Barbados.?? He explained that the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) was prepared to work with them because of the arrivals and tourism spend the Loud concert generated.
Although the BTA would not produce the event, the Tourism Minister said that body was "eager to see the concert come off because of the potential it offered for entertainment".
"We have found that events have worked extremely well for us," Mr. Sealy stressed.??
