The Coastal Zone Management Unit’s (CZMU) sundown beach walk returns to the parish of St. Andrew on Saturday, June 16.
This time participants will journey through the Turner’s Hall Woods, in St. Andrew, before finishing at the Alleyne School in Belleplaine.
Bus transportation will be provided from the CZMU car park on Bay Street, St. Michael, where participants are asked to meet for 1:45 p.m. as buses will leave at 2:00 p.m. sharp. The walk will start at 3:00 p.m.
Participants are reminded that they should wear loose clothing and appropriate shoes, such as hiking shoes or sneakers, which are suitable for walking through the woods. Walkers are also urged to bring additional fluids for the journey.
Anyone wearing inappropriate footwear, such as slippers, will not be allowed to board the bus.
