The Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat (CICS) will be taking its message on the road this weekend, as part of celebrations for this country’s 43rd anniversary of Independence.
The department will hold a promotional tour on Saturday, October 24, and visit several locations across the island including Oistins; Emerald City Shopping Complex, Six Roads, St. Philip; Wilson Hill Park, St. John; Speightstown, Holetown and the Warrens Shopping Complex.
The tour, which will involve staff of the Secretariat and the 2009 Parish Ambassadors and Attendants, will depart Government Headquarters, Bay Street at 9:30 a.m.
The travelling contingent will distribute Independence paraphernalia and information on this year’s Community Independence Celebrations at the various stops on the tour.
