Primary schools in St. Philip, St. George and St. John will compete next week in the semi-finals of the annual quiz competition hosted by the environmental health officers at the St. Philip Polyclinic.
Topics for this year???s quiz are chikungunya, dengue, yellow fever, leptospirosis, Hanta Virus and solid waste management.
On Tuesday, November 17, primary schools in St. Philip will compete at the Shekinah Wesleyan Holiness Church, Church Village, and on Wednesday, November 18, it will be the turn of primary schools in St. George at the St. George Parish Church Hall at Glebe Land.
St. John-based primary schools will compete at the Gill and Gollop Church Hall, St. John???s Parish Church, on Thursday, November 19. All semi-final competitions begin at 9:30 a.m.
One winner from each parish will go forward to the finals, which take place on Monday, November 23, at Sunbury Plantation Great House, Sunbury, St. Philip, at 9:30 a.m.??Prizes include trophies, savings accounts, tablets, books and electrical games.??
