Issues pertaining to HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) will be the focus of a seminar targeting persons who are hearing impaired.

Themed: Know the Facts. Make the Choice, the seminar will be hosted by the National Council on Substance Abuse this Thursday, February 25, at its office at the Corner of 1st Ave Belleville and Pine Road, St. Michael, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The session, which is expected to focus on the facts and myths as they relate to HIV and STIs, will also address the impact of substance abuse and positive alternatives to drug use.

Its objectives are to educate hearing-impaired adults about HIV and other STIs; educate the target population about the testing process for HIV and other STIs; and to educate the target population about the dangers of drug use and its link to HIV and other STIs.
