Local real estate agents will get an opportunity to learn about the impact of the Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (Prevention and Control) Act on the industry this week.

That is when the Barbados Estate Agents and Valuers Association, in conjunction with the Financial Intelligence Unit, hosts a seminar entitled: The Impact of Money Laundering & Financing of Terrorism.

It will take place this Friday, May 13, at Mahogany Ridge, St. Thomas, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.

The aim of the seminar is to educate all real estate agents about the possible adverse consequences of non-compliance with the provisions of the Act on their business, the overall industry and Barbados.

For further information and to register, persons are asked to call Jeanine Jones at 836-0650, or email admin@beavainc.com.
