Conflict Resolution and Effective Parenting will be among the topics to be discussed at the parenting seminars which are being hosted by the St. Thomas Constituency Council.

The sessions, entitled Empowering Parents through Education, will take place on Sunday, June 17, and Sunday, June 24, at the Lester Vaughan Secondary School, Cane Garden, St. Thomas, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., each night.

Representatives from the National Council on Substance Abuse and PAREDOS will be on hand to discuss a range of topics including: Developmental Milestones; Drug Use and Abuse; and Know Your Child.

The Council invites all residents to attend as it aims to make parents aware of the developmental needs of children; to bring awareness to the dangers of drug use and drug abuse; and to teach strategies that can be used to cope with the challenges associated with raising children.
