Athletes interested in participating in this year’s National Senior Games, being held at the National Stadium, on Saturday, April 18, are urged to register early.

This plea has come from coordinator of the Games, Rawle Clarke, who said that there was “an early bird” registration date, March 23, and many athletes should take the opportunity to collect, complete and return their forms “rather than wait until the last minute to do so”.

He stated that the early return of forms would make the data entry process more efficient, since much information is required from the athletes which has to be keyed in by one individual.

“The young man not only has to key in the events of participants, but also their birth dates, addresses, contact numbers and so on,” Mr. Clarke stressed.

The deadline for registration is April 3, and athletes may collect and return forms to the National Assistance Board, Country Road, St. Michael; the National Sports Council, “Blenheim”, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael; and Sports and Games (B’dos) Ltd., Corner James & Roebuck Streets, Bridgetown.

Meanwhile, tickets for the Games are also available. They may be obtained from C.S. Pharmacy, Broad Street, Bridgetown; Carlton and A1 Supermarket, Black Rock, St. Michael; Emerald City Supermarket, Six Roads, St. Philip; Fisherman’s Pub, Speightstown, St. Peter; Joe’s Pharmacy, Oistins, Christ Church; Sports Connection, Mall Internationale, Haggatt Hall, St. Michael; and Sports and Games (B’dos) Ltd., Corner James & Roebuck Streets, Bridgetown
