Barbadians over 50 years of age should soon be better educated about their health.  That is because the National Assistance Board in conjunction with the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic will host a Health Day in their honour at the Vauxhall Senior Citizens Village, Vauxhall, Christ Church, on Tuesday, September 16.

It forms part of the activities to celebrate Senior Citizens’ Month.

The Day, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will consist of lectures and individual counselling on medicines, mental health and general health issues, as well as nutrition and exercise.  A pharmacist, mental and public health nurses, a dietician and physiotherapist will be on hand to give talks on the respective issues.

Seniors and caregivers in the island are especially invited to attend.
