Barbadians will soon have another opportunity to receive valuable personal tips on how to improve their productivity when six Getting Everyone To Understand Productivity (GET UP) sessions are held.

The Productivity Council will host the half-day workshops every Wednesday from February 15 to March 22, commencing at 9:00 a.m. Persons interested in participating should call Tara Parris at 535-5901.

Some of the topics to be examined are: What is Productivity? Why Measure Productivity? The Impact of Presenteeism and Absenteeism on Productivity; Teamwork and Its Impact on Productivity; and The Importance of Effective Communication.

The sessions will be held at the Council, Third Floor, Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

The National Year of Productivity is being observed in 2017, and The Council is aiming to elevate productivity to such a level, that it “becomes part of the DNA” of the citizens of this country.

It is hoped that at the end of the 12-month initiative, every Barbadian should better understand productivity and his or her individual relationship to it.
