The Ministry of Health???s Vector Control Unit will be tackling six parishes next week in its efforts to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

On Monday, September 30, the Unit will visit Christ Church where Graeme Hall Park, Graeme Hall Terrace, Maxwell Hill, Kendall Hill, Briar Hall, Oistins, Deal Gardens, Maxwell Coast Road, Maxwell Main Road, Dover Gardens, Dover Terrace, Dover, St. Lawrence Gap and the environs will be fogged.

The team will stay in Christ Church but will also venture into St. Michael on Tuesday, October 1, to carry out fogging operations in Sheraton Park, Vauxhall, Warners Park, Briar Hall, Dalkeith Hill, Bullens Avenue, Paddock Road, Phillips Road, Garrison, King???s Village, Deighton Road and surrounding areas.

The parish of St. Thomas will be targetted for fogging on Wednesday, October 2, when the Unit goes into Hopewell, Ashford, Welchman Hall, Lion Castle Tenantry, Highland Road, Bagatelle Gardens, Redmans Village, Welches, Welches Heights, Padmore Village, Melrose and neighbouring districts.

They will turn their focus to St. James and St. Andrew on Thursday, October 3, when they go to the following areas: Orange Hill, Endeavour, Orange Hill Development, Greggs Farm, Turners Hall, White Hill, Hillaby, Church Gap, Harewood Road, Mount Hillaby and the environs.

Fogging operations for the week will conclude in St. Michael and St. George, on Friday, October 4, in the districts of Parish Land, Charles Rowe Bridge, Airy Hill, Lower Estate, Hothersal Turning, Skeetes Road, Jackmans, Friendly Hall and surrounding areas.

The Ministry of Health???s fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.??

Fogging At Airport on Saturday

Members of the public have been advised that the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will be carrying out perimeter fogging at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Saturday, September 28, beginning at 2:00 a.m.
