As the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Council Football Classic continues this week, 16 teams will vie for a spot in the quarter finals of the tournament.

The second stage of the community-based competition will get under way this Friday, November 18, as St. Joseph competes against Christ Church East Central at Silver Sands, Christ Church, at 6:00 p.m. The team hailing from St. Andrew will then challenge Christ Church East, at that venue, at 8:00 p.m.

Also on Friday, St. Michael Central will come up against the Christ Church West team at 6:00 p.m., while St. Michael West will clash with St. Michael East at 8:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Eden Lodge playing field, St. Michael.

On Saturday, November 19, the Speightstown playing field will be the venue for the St. Thomas versus St. Michael North East match at 6:00 p.m., and the St. Peter versus St. Lucy match at 8:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, St. Michael South and St. Michael North West will play at the Bayville, St. Michael, grounds at 6:00 p.m. followed by the City and St. John match at 8:00 p.m.

The public is encouraged to come out and support their respective team.
