As part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations, the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology has opened an historic exhibition themed: “Celebrating the Past, Inspiring Our Future”.

Persons may view the exhibition at the Institute’s Wildey, St. Michael campus, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

It showcases a biography of the Right Excellent Samuel Jackman Prescod. Also on display will be artefacts – pieces of machinery from the early sugar production era – which are located around the campus.

The year-long exhibition will have additional themes added as the year progresses.  As part of African Awareness Month, there will be a Black History display on Friday, February 22.  Other displays will be added in April for National Heroes Day, in Education Month (October) and for independence celebrations in November.
