Past students of the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP) who may have outstanding books for that institution???s library can, from this month, return them without having to pay an overdue fee.

The SJPP will hold a book amnesty from Tuesday, April 7, to Friday, May 8, to encourage the return of texts considered important to its several programmes.

Registrar of the SJPP, Julie Martindale, hopeful of a good response, said: ???We are trying to recover a number of publications which were taken by past students but not returned. This is now having an impact on our student services.??? For further information, librarian, Verna Walkes, may be contacted at 426-1920, extension 2220.
