Over 250 students are expected to graduate from the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP) when that institution holds its graduation ceremony on Saturday, November 7, in its auditorium at Wildey, St. Michael.

The event, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will be held under the theme: Change Your Thoughts And Change Your World.

Executive Director of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries Inc., Lisa Cummins is expected to deliver the feature address while Principal of the SJPP, Hector Belle will report on the success of programmes offered at the institution. The graduating class will also be addressed by Valedictorian Damien Archer, a graduand of the Diploma in Network Technologies.

Last year, there was no new intake into the Continuing Education faculty, since the curriculum was under review, a process which is ongoing. Therefore, 224 full-time graduates and 57 part-time persons are eligible to graduate. Graduates will come from all faculties – Business, Agriculture, Motor vehicle and Welding, Mechanical Engineering; Building and Human Ecology.
